My Big Fat Gay Wedding

August 1 to 5, 2003

Back Home

If someone had told me when I first met Roddy that one day I'd be standing up at his wedding, I wouldn't have believed it.  But here you have it.  18 years later.

We had a week full of stuff, starting with a reception at my place on the Friday night, parties and barbecues on the weekend, followed by the ceremony on the Tuesday.  It was a beautiful ceremony and I was glad to be a part of it.

My first gay wedding was not only a legally recognized one, but it was for one of my oldest and dearest friends.

There's hope for me yet folks.

The Reception

Friday, August 1

A lot of stuff was organized at the last minute, so due to the timing, we had the reception before the wedding.  You couldn't have a wedding without a party.

Frame time.

With all the bad pics of Chi Chi sitting in that exact
spot, it's amazing this one turned out so well.

Robert J. on a balanced diet.

Richie talking to Pudsy about her beauty.

Professor Donna Lee

And Heather listening intently.

It's all about comfort.

Wedding Day

Tuesday, August 5

The big day.  Roddy was so nervous, we got a micky of rye and drank it on the subway.
