August Long Weekend, 2005

We always start out of journey with the traditional picture of Jen's dashboard.

Smiling Jen at the wheel (after about 3 hours sleep).

Neen, waking up.

YAY!! Only 321 clicks.

Scenery on the drive.

Waiting for brekkie at the French River Trading Post.

We felt about that blurry too.

Discussing plans for the weekend.

More scenery.

Heading into beautiful downtown Sudbury. Note the Sudbury smoke stack.

Science North.

Nice bay.

Driving along the dirt road.

Scenery from the window.

Packing up the trailer for the ride down the hill.

Jen covering up her stinky feet.

Doug and Matt starting the long descent.

Just out of the car and already buzzing.

Almost at the bottom.

Me with beer in pocket.

Sandy beach. We're almost there.

Finally, relaxing on the deck.

More relaxation.

Pounding out a few tunes.

And some more tunage.

Jen entertaining the troops.

More tunes.

And the wash tub base comes out.

Keep that rhythm.

Playing solo.

The start of our makeshift blues band.

Including beatnik.

No beatnik would be complete without a smoke.

My lungs are like tar now.

Like a choir of angels.

Boat people.

Smilin' Lindsay.

I think this is the tail end of a salute. As you can we didnt' get much
sleep.

I loves me some beer.

Jen and beer. What a great couple.

Leaving camp for phase one of our day trip.

Out on the lake.

Almost at phase 2.

More scenery.

And more.

And more.

Okay, we crossed the portage and now we're on Taylor lake.
Cousin Kenny was there to meet us.

Hangin' around Ken's camp.

Neen and Jen having a beer.

And then we headed back.

Home sweet home.

Weevie, in clever Uncle Bruce disguise.

Rog with multiple drinks.

Doug taking a break between songs.

Weevie belting one out.

Chippie!

Friendly little buggers.

See what I mean?

Lindsay standing around.

Coming back. Sudbury water tower.

What the heck does that even mean?

Nice bridge.
